Recently pegged the new happening address in Laoag for a total hand and feet indulgence. Straightforwardly named The Nail Lounge, it is a neat space managed by cool people. Sheena and Claire made sure I was satisfied with my detoxifying hand spa and mani.
The Nail Lounge carries fashion-forward names in the nail biz such as Orly and Revlon, and soon on the shelves, Essie and OPI. Amazingly, they have a peppy stock of non-toxic colors for kikay pregnant moms and girls. You can bring in your guy to enjoy a relaxing service as well.
The chill sounds add to the mod vibe.
Nail caviar on my pointer fingers…. thinking of goin’ all out for a red-letter occasion. They have pretty colors to choose from. Though I’ve been using my hands tirelessly in the last two days, the caviar still looks delish.
The Nail Longe is located near the corner of Gen. Luna and Villanueva Streets in the heart of the Laoag.

Goodbye, Gener… hello, sunshine! And I mean honest-to-goodness sunshine in Ilocos after more than a week of incessant rains.
My girls, Marianne and Joan, and I were supposed to have dim sum at the Fort Ilocandia Resort Hotel’s Red 8 before heading out to the Luis Medspa, but we were sidetracked by the inviting verdure… we followed the path to the lagoon and animal shelter. Everyone and everything were seemingly soaking up the calm energy.
This ostrich scared the crap out of me. He was fast, I don’t know if furious or just in a happy playful mood.
That’s sad. I love nature, but I really don’t like going to zoos or seeing animals in an awkward environment:(
[Our lunch, sharing cold cuts (barbecued pork, century eggs, marinated pig leg slices, soyed chicken, jellyfish, pork siomai, chicken feet and shrimp dumplings (hakaw).]
Lovely breeze — it gives me the idea to bring and not wear (hahah!) the picnic blanket next time.
[The self-indulging hour we spent at Luis Medspa.]
