Pillow Talk

The Leo in me has a problem being overly loyal to things I’ve tried and liked, like I’ve had just a couple of nude lipsticks that I truly like and wear every day. Among them are MAC Mehr and Mocha. By accident, I found myself testing a handful of different shades at the Charlotte Tilbury makeup counter. I think I was trying to look for a pink that wasn’t Barbie-ish at that time. I ended up buying a few tubes — My Hot Lips in Secret Salma (a dupe for Mehr actually), K.I.S.S.I.N.G. in Stoned Rose (a very beautiful neutral shade and also a favorite), and Matte Revolution in Pillow Talk, a MLBB that sells out fast, plus Pillow Talk Lip Cheat lip liner that’s pretty versatile.

Wearing Pillow Talk in the photo below. Don’t you think it’s sweet? Light, but not washed out, pink, but neutral, and it’s not at all that impossibly dry matte that ruins the purpose of a MLBB.

On the expensive side, but, in my opinion, worth every penny you pay for, these lippies are nicely pigmented, leave the lips looking plumper and healthier, and shades are sophisticated. I actually got Walk of Shame, too, for special occasions, kinda dramatic and more festive, but still can be worn everyday.

Summer Blush Perfection in Get Cheeky with Me

happy skin get cheeky with me blush

Summer Fling was my first choice when I purchased my first Happy Skin  Shut Up & Kiss Me lippies. I guess the peachy pink tones suit my NC30 so nicely. Got the Get Cheeky with Me blush too. It gives me a healthy, radiant flush. It’s warm, but not too orange. It’s like my Orgasm ‘coz my skin can’t take something in that NARS blush which I love on other women. It applies effortlessly with only a sweep or two. No chalkiness at all. I’m going on an adventure in a bit. It’s supposed to be hydrating and I am expecting it stays on ’til the afternoon.

Stay happy and make the most of your summer weekends, everyone!

Better Brows with Anastasia Brow Powder Duo

Anastacia Brow Powder Duo Dark Brown

It took me so difficult to get hold of the Anastasia Brow Powder Duo. The first one I asked Ericke to buy for me mysteriously disappeared while mom was supposed to take it to Laoag from LA. So Ericke had to purchase another one and drive all the way to Samantha’s office and Sam carried the minuscule black box with her to Laoag. Don’t ever overzealouslytweeze your brows! Someone made my brows disappear when I was sixteen and they were never the same again. So now, everyday, I fill in to make them look like I’m not channeling Marlene Dietrich. I’ve been using MAC Espresso for the longest time, then I switched to K-Palette, but it added like an hour more to draw extra hair.

Ericke got me Dark Brown which works very nice ‘coz I’ve gone 2 shades darker with my hair. I specified not to get something with a reddish undertone, and so far, I’m loving the taupish tones the duo create. I didn’t know she threw another one in Soft Brown into the purse she gave me. It applies like the MAC eyeshadow powder I’ve been using, but without the smudge. My current bang is brow length, and Anastasia keeps my brows in shape.

You can adjust with the opacity. It doesn’t come with a brush, so an angled brush is necessary. The product is pricey, but all worth it.
