One-Day Urbanitas

Woke up to a surprise special Japanese lunch delivery from a friend, who was celebrating her birthday. She sent 4 different sets. What a sweet citified lunch!

Malling is good on a hot, hot day. Went straight to the home section of the Robinsons department store. Found  some cool items for my friend — a cheese board, a chips and dip server and a nut and candy tray. Hope she’ll find them usable.

We bumped into Roksi Torres, our gorgeous friend from Core TV  in Vigan.

With Roksi for a shopping day out was another gorgeous friend, Jana Siratranont, who works at the Ilocos Sur Provincial Tourism Office and also hosts for Core TV.

Unica Hija is one of the newer boutiques in the mall. They have nice and summery cotton tops, which are great for either shorts or jeans. I got a Liberty-inspired button-down shirt and a tie-dye dress (in the photo) for myself.

Before taking a tricyle, Ericke couldn’t resist an ice-blended  fruit shake from a stand in front of 365 Mall.

Next stop: Red Dot. More VNC arrivals. Shades of Imelda, I couldn’t refuse the new white version of the strappy flats sandals in my previous Red Dot post.

[Awesome new item: a spot remover!]

Giannis for the hungry urbanitas.

Eugene tagged along.

Onion rings for me. I think Chef Jackie forgot some of the spices. It would have been perfect.

The burger was real. I mean it had real beef, yummy!

I didn’t forget blog reader Tricia’s suggestion — Life Essentials Spa. The Swedish massage was great! The cubicles were clean… and the hot tea after the massage was awesome! It had a sweetish aftertaste, something like caramelized sugar. I asked the guy what was in it. He just said it was green tea with secret  ingredients. The best nightcap!!
