To be in the Vogue of travel magazines

Photos by me are on this issue!

My food photos are on the pages of the Condé Nast Traveller Middle East The Asia Issue – July 2015. Condé Nast is synonymous to a portfolio of the most iconic titles in media which I’ve grown up reading, why shouldn’t I be thrilled?

It’s out in newsstands all over the Middle East.

Because I live in the northernmost tip of the Philippines, I purchased my own digital copy online (thanks, Martine!).

With gratitude to Condé Nast Traveller Middle East. It was so much of a wonderful experience.

Ilocos Norte Hotel and Convention Center Christmas Gala Buffet

My cook and youngest daughter’s nanny were gone for the holiday break… I didn’t want to be in the kitchen in the middle of work, I heard there was roast turkey with cranberry sauce at the newest hotel in Ilocos; so off we went to have a wonderful hotel Christmas eve dinner before heading south to hear mass in the world-famous St. Augustine Church, also known as the Paoay Church.

Not in the menu were the assorted meat barbecue. The dinner by Chef Mel Lopez was indeed special — worth the 450-peso we paid for each of us. I thought I was the only one who craved for turkey, hahah, the kids were raving about it all the time. Eugene loved the glazed ham.  Martine  appreciated the Vegetable Pasta.  I super enjoyed the hot pumpkin soup. Alexa had so much of the Pasta Herbe. Ericke loved the desserts especially the marmalade tarts and log cake.  Bran, as usual loved everything. The hubby ate all the turkey, and I thought he hated turkey LOL

Our Misa de Gallo in Paoay was memorable. The church was exquisitely decorated, the mass was solemn and the atmosphere was beautiful with touches of age-old Ilocano traditions.
