Happy Lemon and Koori

Happy Lemon

The phenomenal success of Happy Lemon is not waning just yet. It was actually the long queue at the mall that got me attracted. Palibhasa promdi, nakiuso at nakiusyoso, hahah, both. In truth, I needed to degrease. Like a reflex, among the plethora of tea blends, mousse spins, lemon mixes, etc., I knew exactly what to get. So it was matcha with adzuki beans. The creamy adzuki gave the very Japanese thick green tea a dainty counterbalance.

A huge colorful kiosk instead of an enclosed space, I guess, is a good strategy to catch attention to one good line of products.

Koori Yogurt Bar and Mochi

In contrast to Happy Lemon’s easily noticed, whimsical kiosk, Koori’s minimalist stand is almost non-visible. The first time I checked it out some months ago, I had to bend over to see what it’s all about. This time around, a banner is displayed.

Koori Azuki-Taro Yogurt Bar

Can’t have enough of azuki, I went for akuzi-taro. The flavors were kinda faint, bringing out the unmistakable sourish taste of yogurt. The lovely texture was enjoyable however. Failed to sample a mochi. The flavors are interesting — azuki- matcha, strawberry cheesecake, mango, midnight cookie, green tea, etc..

The Koori kiosk in  Lucky Chinatown Mall is the first in the entire metro, also an original Filipino brand, according to the girls. I was asked if I photograph everything that I eat. LOL. I asked them to pose for me:)

Share Tea one drink a day challenge: Ice blended cocoa with ice cream and pudding

Ice Blended Cocoa with Pudding

This non-tea Share Tea limited edition ice blended cocoa with ice cream and pudding was gratifying! They have it only in large, yet it didn’t feel burdensome to finish up. The chocolatey smack of chilled Magnolia Choco-Vim milk drink and chocolate Twin Popsies (which I loved crushing with a spoon) instantly pop up in my mind. Amazing how certain tastes conjure up childhood memories. The flan-like pudding adds a novel twist to the brown smoothie.

I’m spending the weekend in the coolest part of the country, also the best place to satiate the palate with the freshest produce. I can almost smell the whiff of newly baked bread complementing the rousing aroma of brewing coffee in new-mown grass-scented air … I’m so ready for this promising food trip.

A lovely weekend to all!

Share Tea one drink a day challenge: Peach fruit tea with aloe vera

I’ve been remiss in my self-imposed Share Tea challenge. Snapped up my 28th today — peach fruit tea with aloe vera from the limited edition drinks. The plummy green tea blend with a pep of real peach cubes and aloe vera fills the bill. I recommend it to iced lush fruit tea fans out there.
