Share Tea one drink a day challenge: Lemon kumquat fruit tea with plum

Lemon Kumquat Fruit Tea with Plum

I knew exactly what I wanted after a Father’s Day grilled seafood dinner at Pamulinawen Fiesta Resto — a trip to Share Tea for something fruity and light.

So I ordered a lemon kumquat fruit tea with plum.

The girl at the counter took the element of surprise right away by warning me that the drink is kinda sour:(

That initial jolt of tartness hit my palate and traveled far to my nose. Whoa, it felt good!

I can’t help but compare it with a sour ball.

Triggering a  salivary glands overdrive, floating in this refreshing drink is the goodness of a salted dried plum. This is love!

Kooky Kiamoy

Aged. Wrinkled. Bitingly acerbic. An oddball. I hate to think that you are what you eat.

Kiamoy is made in China. It’s a piece of dried prune (or plum) preserved with licorice. Nibbling on kiamoy is a quick fix when life gets pretty flat. A natural epinephrine, it’s sweet, sour and extremely salty.

Love it in milk tea or slush.

Available at Chinese specialty stores.
