Unobstructed View

Ice Crumble

For once, I felt like a stranger in my own turf. In a span of months, windmills takeover the landscape in the gorgeous, idyllic northern towns of Ilocos Norte. We’re seeing an ugly maelstrom, just the tip of the iceberg of the targeted 400 MW power generation capacity by five different energy companies.

Enjoyed the remaining clean vistas, save for that one tacky statue guarding the Blue Lagoon.

Zipline Flight Across the Blue Lagoon

Zipline

Yesterday, we took the kids to scud across the Blue Lagoon on Hannah’s zipline in Balaoi.

I don’t want to sound airy, but if you’ve already tried falling from a trembling chopper in the sky, you will delight more in photographing the splendid seascape. Martine and Travis almost changed their minds. All of them were actually more thrilled for the pig out at Berblick in Burayoc Point. Coming from Travis — he didn’t feel the so-called adrenaline rush. Martine’s two words: cheesy, overpriced. She paid 1200 for the two of them. It might be a lot different to other people, however.

Face-BukBergblick Dinner

Over at Bergblick… tolles essen! The German Restaurant is not in the Blue Lagoon area. It is along the highway going to Saud Cove from Balaoi.

Potato skins are Alexa’s favorite. They got another serving ‘coz she won’t have any of our favorites. Fantastic fish carpaccio, omg!
