A little bit of Korea in Ongpin

For the longest time, I’ve been wanting to cook bibimbap, a Korean rice dish topped with vegetables, egg and spicy hot gochujang ((fermented chili pepper paste), but I can’t find the hot sauce here in Laoag. A stroke of luck, spotted a fairly stocked Korean shop right along Ongpin Street in the heart of Manila’s Chinatown. Yipee, got my gochujang! And guess what else I got? I snagged ice candy molds for just 99 pesos a set. Guiltfree, environment-friendly avocado milk ice candies coming up!

Bye bye, plastic pouches!
