The sun shone happily at the Sunken Garden. The white chairs reserved for the more than a thousand graduates were arranged very neatly in the midst of blooms, looking as if trying to convey laudatory nods. Happiness and pride emanated in the air. A monumental occasion for parents and educators as well.
“I enjoy seeing people in their holiday best,” Dr. Joven Cuanang, guest speaker at the Mariano Marcos State University 36th Commencement Exercises, said in glee as he started his inspiring speech.
Congrats, Eugene! Congrats, MMSU Batch 2014!
It seems like only yesterday when Euge entered college. BlauEarth should also have graduated if it were a student of the MMSU.
Through Eugene’s stay at the MMSU, while finishing his bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, I became friends to a bunch of his schoolmates, who loved to eat at our home during breaks, and teachers like Herdy La Yumul, who at one occasion, entrusted to me his NSTP class (which included Euge) for a clean-up at the Davila Mangroves.
The school is dear to BlauEarth, the blog, at the same time.
A featured youth in the blog, John Michael Mugas, graduated cum laude in BS B.A-Marketing. Congratulations, Michael!

Congratulations to your son. You seem so young to have a college grad.
I’m still young:)
