Color Crazy

Lippies

Can you imagine the world without color? I like it a little exaggerated:) Tested three Revlon lippies. Next to MAC lipsticks (which I’d usually order from Manila or abroad) I’m biased towards Revlon (available only at the Robinsons here in Ilocos), first of all, ‘coz they don’t test on animals and secondly, ‘coz they constantly come up with new intriguing colors and formulations.

1.) Revlon Color Burst Lipstick in 020 Baby Pink, 2.) Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Lip Balm Stain Rendezvous, 3.) Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Lip Balm Stain Sweetheart

I’m loving the balm stains that look like crayons. Omg, the color stays on forever! The downside — the color comes out darker than what you see in the tube. I suggest you test them at the store. Looks like any highly pigmented creamy lipstick for the first couple of hours afterwhich it turns less glossy and leaves you with a rich stain. The color is buildable and won’t feather nor dry out. I plan to get the more natural Honey next. Oh, there’s that Carmex-like minty feeling that goes away pretty quickly.

Baby Pink Color Burst is a pretty subtle pink that’s not too blue which makes it more wearable than mauvey pinks. You need to emphasize your eyes if you’re wearing an icy tone such as this one. The texture is ratherish sheer and needs touch-ups if you babble a lot:)

I used the Nail Lounge discount coupon Red Dot gave away at the MUD class. I’m beginning to adore the Klean Color nail lacquers. I’m constantly typing and the nail tips still look fresh on the sixth day. I got tired of the pearly baby blues I had last week, and so I fancied the Bang! Bang! Color! Neon Aqua that is more like vintage-y Wonder Woman blue than Cerulean.

Gosh, the youngest, cutest client at The Nail Lounge! My friend Jo’s little darling named Daphne. No worries, she’s wearing kid-safe nail polish:)
