So spontaneous, yet so coordinated mom and daughter fashion. I didn’t realize those were my jeans and belt until I started taking photos of her. That’s what’s so cool about growing backwards, on my end. The daughter is able to translate the principles of investment dressing. I like what I see — we can share stuff without having to look dated. The old soul that she is, she forever dresses like a bride, putting together something old, something new, something borrowed, something denim (most of the time). One more reason why it is so hard to part with ancient beautiful things.
She ordered two frames online, thinking I might like one of them. I chose the half nerdy and half funky black ones. We went to Cool Eyes for our prescription lenses. I brought her to David’s the next day for an LA-appropriate tinted hair. She’s ready to soar. I hope she comes back one day with a wider perspective in life, tougher and wiser, now that she flies with her own wings.
