A summer’s day in December. From Kapuluan Vista Resort to Kingfisher in Capirispisan, two worlds apart divided by pursuits. If surfing is your thing, KVR rules. Boards and instructors won’t be a point of issue. If you want to ride the wind, then head to Kingfisher, the only resort in Ilocos that offers kite surfing.
Enjoy the Pagudpud photos…
Ivon and I chilled out and took photos of Ericke, Euge and Brandon while being taught by Jed and Sherwin the basics of surfing. Having surfed on and off from the time the dad brought her to pro surfer Luke Landrigan in San Juan (La Union) when she was preteen to the present, Ericke is naturally drawn to the waves.
My lunch of French toasts at KVR.
We have a mutual love for the ocean, but no one among us has ever kite surfed. Controlling the board and the kite must be demanding. Anyhoo, the rustic appeal of Kingfisher will make you want to stay around longer.
Heheh, rules:)
Ultimately, the most essential rule at the beach is to love the beach.

Beautiful! Fun in the Sun! I’ll surely bring my family there one day when we’ll be in Candon.
Thanks! There’s more to explore in Ilocos:)
Yes. Papa was from Candon & I often visited Ilocos region in late 70’s, 80’s and 90’s.
best regards.
