Not much has changed in Vintar, an Ilocos Norte town located a little northeast of Laoag City. The less-adulterated laid-back charm is still there. You ought to love this quaint town!
To the miners eying Vintar… please leave this gorgeous place alone!
Back to basics… Vintar through my eyes. Hope you enjoy the photos as much as I did taking them.
The Vintar Dam, located in Parparoroc, used to be one of Ilocos’ key tourist spots. Though the government is putting efforts to bring back the old glory of the picturesque place, the vintage viewdeck remains for a good dose of nostalgia. Almost done is a new multi-purpose function hall, right where I’m standing (in next photo).

Great photos! Thank you for sharing about Vintar. I am always interested to learn about different places in the Philippines, which are not so famous, yet offering much to visitors and travelers.
