Usec. Manuel L. Quezon III meets the bloggers of Ilocos Norte

The Explainer

Before heading to Baguio for a family vacay, I was able to beg for time to meet-up with Presidential Communications Development and Strategic Planning Office Undersecretary Manuel “Manolo” L. Quezon III and bloggers of Ilocos Norte through the invitation of blogger Herdy La Yumul.

It’s my second time to see “The Explainer” in the flesh. Saw him at The Philippine Blog Awards 2010. The occasion in Laoag is a lot different however. There was opportunity for a freewheeling discussion and interaction, which I appreciate so much — bloggers are now also recognized by Malacañang, a running start for positive social change.

The historian urged everyone to follow the Official Gazette, the official journal and main publication of the Philippine government. I  have been checking it from time to time, but I will soon include it in my blogroll. It pays to know your government.

Little did I know that there are quire a number of bloggers in Norte. It was nice to meet face to face BlauEarth readers, bloggers Kenneth Mammuad and Sherene Ruiz. And see Ms. Ritchelle Blanco Dejolde too. Same as the others, I am hoping the initial meet-up of Ilocos Norte bloggers will pave the way for a legit organization.
