‘Tis the time of the year to nut up

We don’t have a snowy Christmas in the Philippines, but we have chestnuts roasting, filling the air with a holiday aroma.

Ready to pop sweet castañas from China are once again on the streets of Chinatown and Divisoria.

A bit of advice: eat as soon as possible. These nuts spoil easily.

  1. i know they are good and nutty like me ..i just love them. i prefer chestnuts than snow.we roast them ourselves in the fireplace as there are no vendors here in my neck of the woods.thats what i miss during christmas season
