I’ve been to the desert on a road with no name

We were in La Paz last Saturday for a shoot with GMA Network’s Saksi crew for a feature story about the latest adventure thrill up north, sandboarding down the steep slopes of the La Paz sand dunes. I noticed that the dilapidated Ventura Highway sign (I blogged about in October) looked very white and new, so I had to stop and take photos. As I looked through my camera’s viewfinder, I was surprised to see that only the other road was named. Hello, City Government of Laoag?  If you have renamed the old Ventura Highway, then what is its new name? Just when this part of La Paz has been booming, the road leading to it now suddenly has no name.

  1. So, you’re also a fan of ‘America’ band! The bald man ex-mayor has been a critic of the clan in power so perhaps their supporters don’t want to bother to write his family name on the road…
