Crab Mentality

Live crabs are pesky. They fight each other for survival. They’re avaricious, egocentric jerks and bitches.

Here’s what I’d love to do with them:

  1. Cook with beer, herbs and spices.
  2. Sauté with butter and chili.
  3. Stuff tomatoes with crab meat and mayo.
  4. Cook in coconut miik-curry sauce.
  5. Make crab salad.
  6. Add crab meat to cream of corn soup.
  7. Make crab omelet.
  8. Cook in Sprite.
  9. Add the meat to kabatiti (patola), egg and misua (mom’s recipe).
  10. Make crispy crablets.
  11. Make crab bisque para sosyal.
  12. Make rellenong alimasag or crab cakes kaya?
  13. Make pasta sauce out of aligue (crab eggs).
  14. Eat steamed crablets with suka (vinegar).
  15. Copy Adams’ crablet sisig specialty.
  16. Cook with sotanghon a la King Crab.
  17. Make Singapore Chili Crabs (a specialty of Alexa’s nanny).
  18. Top Yang Chow Fried Rice with tasty crab meat.
  19. Add a whole crab to hot pot for a tastier soup, and then eat it last.
  20. Gosh, grilled fresh crabs are the best!
