Sunday evening was reserved for the Ortiga-Lim wedding.
The Rizal Ballroom of the Makati Shangri-La was packed to the rafters. The dashing groom surprised his lovely bride with an oh-so-cute hip-hop rendition while walking all the way from the front to the back, where she was.
Not to be outdone, the bride took the groom by surprise…
The Side A came out on stage. The band sounded as soulful as ever. The newlyweds and guests swooned and swayed to Tuloy Pa Rin Ako.
Bernice and Jumbo slow dancing to Joey G’s Forevermore, truly a sight to behold!
Gorgeous fresh flower arrangements and decorative potted plants served as table centerpieces, and then were given out to guests before the party concluded.
[Asian Slaw with White Turnip, Mint Leaves and Lemon Grass with Marinated Salmon]
[Roast Chicken Thigh with Asian Vegetables and Honey Chili Sauce, served after the Cream of Asparagus Soup with Toasted Pistachios.]
[Herb Crusted Lapu-Lapu with Risotto, Mushroom Ragout, Citrus Salad and Mushroom]
[Flourless Chocolate Cake with Raspberry Cream and Amaretto Ice Cream]
[Assorted French macarons, chocolates and chocolate truffles came with freshly brewed coffee or tea. (Those were my picks.)]
The mister with Paul and Allan, his old friends from St. Stephen High School.
Betty, the mother of the bride, flanked by friends Bibot and Gina. By the way, Gina of the Sushi-Ya Japanese Restaurants is part Ilocana.
Gina’s brother, restaurateur Jimmy and wife (of Kalye Juan) with Wendell.
Congratulations and best wishes to Mr. and Mrs. John Ortiga! Make the love forevermore!
