Pasta Mulatta was served at Bernard Macaraeg’s post-birthday dinner at their new home. The full course dinner, prepared by Saramsam, consisted of appetizing ipon and capers sauteed in olive oil, shrimps with fresh greens topped with honey mustard dressing, cold mango soup, the lip-smacking Pasta Mulatta with squid ink which gave its dark hue, tender roast turkey with gravy, and malunggay ice cream. Not just a retinal delight, Sammy’s creative cooking satisfies the soul.
Red Dot’s hardworking owners, Mary Ann and Bernard Macaraeg, deserve their modern minimalist home. The size is just right for a working couple with three growing children. Perhaps, I could take shots of their urbane kitchen sometime.
Happy Birthday, Bernard!
