BlauEarth and Co. got invited to a red egg and ginger party — not a traditional Chinese baby’s first month celebration, but a baby’s first birthday party with all the details of a red egg and ginger party complete with a performing magician.
Upon seeing the transformation of the always beautifully lit Sierra Madre Ballroom of the Fort Ilocandia, I definitely had to ask permission, from young couple Bryan and Jojami Alcid, if I could take photos of Hunter Daphne’s First Birthday, and share them with you, guys. They were cool about it. Thanks, Jo and Bryan. If I may add, Jo throws the most unique and well-planned themed parties in Sunshine City Laoag.
Festively adorned sakura treelike table centerpiece.
Bry and Jo wih Yanna and the star of the party, Hunter.
Jo brought home the authentic Chinese miniature paper lanterns, fortune cookies and take out boxes from her recent California trip.
My fortune cookie said — It’s not what your fortune cookie can’t do for you, but what you can do for your fortune cookie.
A grand lauriat dinner prepared by the Fort Ilocandia’s Chinese chefs was the highlight of the party.
Family and friends of the fashionable Alcid couple had a memorable evening. If there’s one thing I noticed about the Chinese and Filpinos, it’s the close family ties. The Alcid clan were in full force.
My godchild Ginger, China doll.
Fun props for Shot in the box Photobooth.
Again, my congratulations and warm wishes!
An old Chinese quote — “The older the ginger the hotter the spice.”
