My dear readers,
I’m gettin’ ready for a 10-day ecoguide training at the International School of Sustainable Tourism in the Subic Free Port Zone. It means that I might not be able to blog in about 2 weeks ‘coz I haven’t acquired a laptop and I don’t own a cellphone; in short, I’ll be sort of incommunicado… just absorbing the whole course. I can’t pass up this wonderful chance given to me by the Department of Tourism-Office of Tourism Standards and Regulations. Thank you to the DOT Region I Office for endorsing this mom adrenalin junkie/blogger from Laoag.
It’s gonna be tough out there… no fellow LEADers to say “Go, go, go!” whenever I need the boost… like a child being weaned by the mother, I’ll be exploring another world. The course outline hints that besides keeping up with whole day long class lectures, the 30 participants from the different regions of the country will be thrown into the field for assignments. Jeez, admittedly, I’m quite scared. It’s been years since my last major, major climb. But I’m more scared of wasps, yes, wasps, insects with stingers and ovipositors that almost got me killed 6 years ago. All bloated and purple, I hung on to dear life as I was being transported from the wild unknown to the asphalt jungle. Call me crazy, it’s okay… I’ll be okay.
Bye for now and I promise to come back with more stories. With many thanks to everyone for checking on my new posts.
