December 12, 2010 — After a little more than a year of constant blogging from far north, I got the chance to go to the megalopolis, to attend The Philippine Blog Awards at the Carlos P. Romulo Auditorium, RCBC Plaza, Makati City. I didn’t even know there is such an award-giving body for bloggers like me. Last month, I received my nomination confirmation through email. At first, I thought it was just a joke, but I still did answer and submit the nomination acceptance form. After sometime, my nomination badge arrived and I felt that sense of pride. The Lifestyle genre where my blog got nominated is described as “A blog that focuses on how to live and enjoy life. It also covers how to improve one’s life and environment, shares news and events about lifestyle – alternative or mainstream, and highlights the best of what’s coming and what’s new.” My blog started as a showcase of Ilocos… it still is, but I get to feature more… absolutely anything that excites me that I wish to share with you, dear readers. Getting nominated in The Philippine Blog Awards 2010 is an exciting-but-humbling experience to cherish for life. From the bottom of my heart, I want to thank everyone who has constantly followed my adventures, also those who have newly discovered BlauEarth’s Blog, and those who have been sending queries, requests, etc.– you all make the Blogging World more fun!
Accepting fellow Ilocano blogger Herdy La Yumul’s prize in the special raffle draw. Herdy of Riknakem was a finalist in the Society, Politics and History category. Congrats, my dear!
From BlauEarth’s Blog, thank you to The Philippine Blog Awards!
